Walk & Talk Sessions
Target group: Adults and professionals who want to speak English in a relaxed and natural environment
Take a refreshing break from your desk and practise English while walking outdoors. Our Walk & Talk sessions combine conversation, movement and fresh air.
Instead of sitting in a classroom, we walk together and talk about interesting topics. The relaxed atmosphere makes it easier to speak naturally, try new expressions and build confidence in English.
The sessions can take place in and around Münster, for example along the Promenade, around the Aasee, in green areas or on other suitable walking routes.
Each session has a conversation topic. You receive useful vocabulary, questions and ideas before or during the walk. The aim is not perfect English. The aim is to use English actively and communicate.
Objectives
- Speak English in a relaxed, informal environment
- Build confidence and improve fluency
- Learn useful vocabulary and expressions through conversation
- Practise listening and responding naturally
- Combine language learning with walking and fresh air
- Talk about interesting topics instead of working through a textbook

These sessions will be in English.
A relaxed first walk designed to help you start speaking English naturally. We talk about everyday life, interests, work, travel and the things that are important to you.
The focus is on conversation rather than grammar exercises. You can experiment with English, ask questions and learn useful expressions while we walk.
Possible topics:
- What are your hobbies?
- What are you interested in?
- What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
- What do you normally do at weekends?
- Where and when do you use or want to use English?
- What would you simply like to talk about?
Work gives us many things to talk about. During this walk, we discuss professional experience, careers, changes in working life and the skills people develop over time.
This session is particularly useful for professionals who want to become more comfortable talking about their work in English.
Possible topics:
- What do you do?
- How has your profession changed?
- What have you learned during your career?
- What makes a good colleague?
- What have been the biggest changes in your working life?
- How important is English in your professional life?
Travel is one of the easiest subjects for natural conversation. We talk about places you have visited, memorable journeys and cultural differences you have experienced.
The conversation can move from simple travel vocabulary to deeper discussions about culture, language and international experiences.
Possible topics:
- Where have you travelled?
- Which places would you like to visit?
- What makes a good holiday?
- Have you experienced cultural differences?
- What have you learned from travelling?
- Does travel change the way we see the world?
Walking itself gives us the topic for this session. We discuss nature, exercise, relaxation and the importance of taking breaks from everyday routines.
The surroundings become part of the conversation. We can describe what we see, react spontaneously and allow the conversation to develop naturally.
Possible topics:
- How important is exercise in everyday life?
- Why do people enjoy being in nature?
- What helps you relax?
- Is modern life too stressful?
- Can walking help us think more clearly?
- What do you do to stay healthy and active?
Technology is changing the way we work, communicate and live. During this walk, we discuss developments such as artificial intelligence, renewable energy, robotics and digital communication.
You do not need technical knowledge. The aim is to exchange ideas and practise explaining opinions in English.
Possible topics:
- How is technology changing your life?
- How will AI change the workplace?
- Which technologies interest you?
- Will technology make life easier?
- Which new technologies worry you?
- What might everyday life look like in 20 years?
Some of the best conversations come from personal experience. In this session, we talk about how priorities, attitudes and perspectives change during our lives.
The topic allows us to move beyond simple small talk and have a more thoughtful conversation in English.
Possible topics:
- Do our priorities change as we get older?
- What have you learned from experience?
- Do people become more relaxed as they get older?
- What makes a good life?
- What would you still like to do or experience?
- Where would you like to see yourself in five years?
Business gives us many opportunities for practical and interesting conversation. In this session, we talk about your work, your professional experience and the situations in which you use English.
The focus is on speaking more confidently about business topics and expressing your ideas clearly and naturally. We can also practise vocabulary connected with meetings, projects, colleagues, customers and international communication.
Possible topics:
- What do you do and what are your main responsibilities?
- What do you enjoy most about your work?
- What are the biggest challenges in your job?
- How important is English in your professional life?
